The National Camp Congress (CONCAMPS) hosted by the Mexican Camp Association: A Groundbreaking Event

On February 10th 2024, the Mexican Camp Association made history by opening its doors to the general public for the first time during the National Camps Congress (CONCAMPS). This groundbreaking event welcomed nearly 280 attendees and saw the participation of around 20 companies, all gathered with the common goal of enhancing their skills in organized camping through workshops, lectures, and hands-on activities.

Participants had the opportunity to delve into a wide range of topics designed to elevate the camping experience for both staff and attendees. Among the highlights were sessions on “The 5 Paths to Staff Happiness,” “Positive Leadership through Effective Communication,” and “Creating a Sense of Belonging, Permanence, and Closure within Organizations.”

Leadership and personal growth were central themes, with talks on “Vision and Inspiration: The Superpowers of an Intentional Leader” and “The Nature as an Element of Wonder,” emphasizing the transformative power of well-led outdoor experiences. Furthermore, the congress tackled the importance of navigating neurodiversity in children within recreational settings, a testament to the evolving understanding of inclusive environments.
