Dear ICF Family,
As summer now sits behind us and the global camp community enters a new season of preparation, our focus naturally turns toward what lies ahead — especially the road to ICC 2026. This past month has been an exciting milestone on that journey.
From 3–12 November, the ICF Board members conducted an official visit to China. Our first stop was the ICC 2026 venue, including the Taiwoo Resort congress area and convention center. We held extensive meetings with the top executives of Thaiwoo Resort, and I must say: their commitment, vision, and support for ICC 2026 are truly remarkable. Their readiness gives us great confidence that this congress will be one of the most memorable in ICF’s history.
Our second stop took us to Weifang, Shandong for the ICC 2026 Exchange Event and Forum at G Camp. The energy we experienced there was incredible. The G Camp team, educators, and participants from across China showed tremendous enthusiasm for international collaboration.
Their passion for camp education reaffirmed the importance of building bridges and learning from one another.
We concluded our visit at the 9th Annual CCEA Camp Education Conference, organized by our partners CCEA at – the official host association of ICC 2026 — and graciously hosted by Will Camp. Being together with hundreds of camp professionals from all over China was both inspiring and deeply encouraging. Their dedication to advancing the camp movement gives us great optimism for the Congress to come.
We left China with new friendships, meaningful conversations, unforgettable experiences, and a powerful sense of hope for the upcoming International Camping Congress, 6–10 November 2026.
