Ramping Up for ICC 2026: China’s Camp Professional Engagement
China camping continues to ramp up its energy and enthusiasm for ICC 2026. Camp professionals from all over China gather on a regular basis for discussions, trainings and preparations to create a wonderful platform for exchange.
Inaugural Pan-Camp Holistic Education Forum Location and Venue
Most recently, the First Pan-Camp Holistic Education Forum and ICC 2026 Celebration Event was held in Shandong province, China. Several organizations share in the preparation and delivery of forum that took place at the beautiful G camp campsite in rural Shandong near Weifang. G camp is a project that is part of a wider holistic approach to providing quality life. First class facilities on this site are also used by students from G school, families of the Goertek group and the public. G camp also hosted an International Camp Director Course (ICDC) after the Education Forum. This important ICF training was offered jointly with a Chinese Mountaineering Association (CMA) Leadership Course
Forum Program Highlights and International Participation
During the forum, members of the Board of the International Camping Fellowship were welcomed as special guests by staff and members from G camp, Campfire Connections and ICC 2026 Committee. Participants enjoyed many workshop sessions on a wide variety of camp-related topics that included international camping perspectives, introductions to the Youth Achievement Award, conversations with strategic YAA partners and news about other Congress-related events. G school students added to the exchange with displays and demonstrations brought from their projects at school. There was also a program of traditional handicrafts.
ICC 2026: The Congress and the Expanding ‘Campfire Connections’ Program
The International Camping Congress scheduled for November 6-10, 2026, takes place in Thaiwoo Resort in Chongli is just the centrepiece of a whole series of events before and after the Congress itself. The ICC “Campfire Connections-Torchbearer Program” brings strategic partners to the project before the Congress and smaller regional events in different parts of China will follow the main event. In China, traditional camping ideas and approaches are meeting new and innovative ways of thinking. The exchange amongst the camp professionals in China and from across the ICF world promises to be powerful and formative.
