ICF Participates in the IV ANEACAMP Congress 2026

From 28 to 30 January 2026, the International Camping Fellowship (ICF) participated in the IV ANEACAMP Congress, the 4th National Congress on Leisure and Free Time, held in Zaragoza, Spain and organised by the Spanish National Association of Camp and Activity Providers (ANEACAMP).

The congress, themed “Leading the Present, Shaping the Future”, brought together professionals, organisations and experts from across Spain’s camp and educational leisure sector. It served as a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and perspectives on the present challenges and future direction of camps and outdoor education.

Key topics addressed during the congress included youth wellbeing, safety and risk prevention, digitalisation in camp management, labour conditions in the sector, and strategies to strengthen the quality and sustainability of educational leisure programmes. These discussions closely align with ICF’s mission to promote excellence, professionalism and positive impact in camps worldwide.

ICF values opportunities to engage with national associations such as ANEACAMP, as they reinforce collaboration and foster the exchange of best practices across borders. Participation in events like this contributes to a stronger, more connected global camping movement.

During the congress, ICF also announced the upcoming 13th International Camping Congress (ICC2026), which will take place later this year in China. ICC2026 will bring together camp professionals, researchers and leaders from around the world to share innovation, research and inspiration for the future of camping and outdoor education.

ICF extends its thanks to ANEACAMP and all congress participants for their hospitality, insights and commitment to improving the lives of children and young people through high-quality camp experiences.
