The International Camping Fellowship (ICF) is preparing for a pivotal trip to China this November, where the Board of Directors will hold its annual in-person meeting. The agenda is full, combining crucial governance discussions with high-profile industry events, including a major forum and the International Camp Director Course (ICDC).
Leading the Dialogue at the Holistic Education Forum
The Board’s schedule kicks off with an invitation to the First Pan-Camp Holistic Education Forum and the ICC 2026 World Camp Conference Special Exchange Event at G-Camp.
A delegation from the ICF Board has been specially invited to lead discussions alongside members of the YAA Holistic Development Award Expert Database, elite partners, and valued ambassadors. This gathering aims to unite pioneering figures—including the ICC 2026 Torchbearers, Super Partners, and YAA Value Ambassadors—to deliberate on the future of the global camp industry.
Key highlights of the forum include:
- International Dialogue: Over 20 industry leaders from China and abroad will share experiences, with a special focus on ICC 2026 Special Events.
- In-Depth Experience: Attendees will explore how to deeply link Goertek’s research and technology resources to better integrate technology into camp development.
- Awards Ceremony: The Whole Person Development Award Ceremony will take place, recognizing and celebrating role models and the power of holistic education.
ICDC: A Global Faculty Converges in China
Immediately following the forum, the highly anticipated ICDC International Camp Director Course will run from November 8th to 12th, 2025, in Guangzhou, China, at the same location.
This event is a prime opportunity for camp professionals to enhance their skills and expand their global network. The course curriculum will be delivered in both English and Chinese, with professional translation provided.
The ICDC is led by a distinguished international faculty:
- 3 International Trainers: Tennant Kiu (Singapore), Dr. Simon Sambrano (Venezuela), and Brendan Smith (Australia).
- 1 Local Trainer: Ruth Feng (China), ensuring a rich blend of global methodology and local expertise.
In addition, international guests John Jorgenson and Masako Harigaya have been invited to conduct immersive game workshops and present research on the value of camps, inspiring new thinking through interaction.
Board Meeting at the ICC 2026 Venue
After the events in Guangzhou, the ICF Board will travel to Thaiwoo Village. The Board will hold its official in-person meeting at this location, which is set to be the main venue for the ICC 2026 International Camping Congress. This visit will allow the Board to finalize governance matters while experiencing the environment where the next major global camp gathering will take place.
